The Charity Fundraiser was a success and was really inspiring. It took place yesterday (12th February 2017) at the Zed Shed in Penryn.
I was dropped off by a man with a van (Anth) with all the equipment needed, at 10am. It is often remarked on that I never travel lightly! The space worked really well with the different chairs needed for all the alternative therapies on offer.
This included Reflexology, Indian Head massage, Seated Massage for back, shoulders and neck and Foot or hand massage.
9 Treatments and 2 Donations
I had a very busy morning with one Indian Head massage, one Reflexology and two seated massages.
Then there was a lull enabling a quick lunch and time to recharge and reflect.
The afternoon was slow to start and then I was suddenly fully booked until 4.20 sharing another Indian Head massage and four more Reflexology.
Most of the people who participated tried a therapy they had not tried before. I believe this is one reason I really enjoy contributing to events like this. It hopefully inspires others to look at alternative ways to promote their own sense of wellbeing as well allowing me to ‘gush’ about the therapies.
The event could not have gone ahead without the passion and dedication of Ruth Pethybridge. Thank you Ruth for approaching me to be part of this.
Its a great feeling knowing that I raised £150 by just sharing wellbeing, meeting wonderful inspiring people and giving a little bit of time.
I believe the total raised was a superb £500 and all monies raised are going to the ‘Hand in hand for Syria’ charity.
Thank you to all involved.
