Therapist Get Together

On Saturday 25th February I attended an informal get together of therapists. This was organised by Lesley Oates from CornishWellEssence. Lesley provides a platform for therapists to meet new like minded people, catch up with friends and learn new skills, so continuing professional development. This also gives us chance to share a treatment; something that is all to easy to miss out on.

Sharing Inspiration

These meetings have been going for the last 3 years, although this one was different. Lesley wanted us to provide inspiration and ideas to push this forward.

There were familiar faces and some exciting new ones!

Sharing Knowledge

We spent the first hour or so having an informal discussion about our particular therapies, things that work for us, any problems we face and ideas we have. This was a brilliant way to share; realising that we all face the same things all be it in different ways.

The therapies represented were massage, aromatherapy, reflexology, reiki, beauty, yoga, flower essences amongst others.

As you can see this is a meeting for anyone interested in therapy and wanting to share and develop.

Sharing Ideas

growLesley then discussed potential training and workshops that she is planning.

Have a look at her website for the calendar of events so far.

Following this she asked if there was any particular area of expertise we would like expanding. Things that arose were Reflexology – advance techniques, Self Protection, Meridians, Essential Oil Blending and more sharing.

Sharing!!

An amazing therapy swap was an exceptional end to the afternoon – Reflexology, Reiki, Massage, Facial. It was all happening, yet it was the most calm and peaceful space to be in.

Thank you to all of the therapists involved, old friends and new ones, and especially to Lesley who organises these brilliant events.

If you are a therapist of any shape or form and this sounds like something that would interest you or someone you know then please let us know.

  1. My mum is a therapist and lesley trained her in reiki. Mum would love to get involved. I’ll put my email as she doesn’t really use hers! I’m booked in for an Indian head next week so look forward to meeting you.
